Situated in a restored 1767 stable, the restaurant beautifully combines historical features like its cobblestone floor and wooden troughs with contemporary decor, creating a relaxed atmosphere perfect for enjoying hearty, sustainable Cape farm-style cuisine.
Chef Germaine Esau, who transitioned from a geology background to culinary arts, now heads the kitchen, emphasising hyper-seasonal menus that highlight fresh farm-sourced ingredients. Breakfast options range from soufflé omelettes to traditional spreads, while lunch pairs thoughtfully with the farm’s award-winning wines. Diners can savour dishes such as venison tartare and braised lamb shoulder, followed by delectable desserts like milk chocolate cremeux and strawberry pavlova.
